Klingel Group brings former Intersport manager Carsten Schmitz to the management board

The Klingel Group is expanding its management team with a proven digital expert. On Wednesday, the Pforzheim-based mail order group announced that Carsten Schmitz would take over the post of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) on May 1st. In this function, he should continue to drive forward the “digital transformation” of the group of companies, according to a statement.

Schmitz has many years of experience in this area. Most recently, he was Chief Digital Officer at the retail association Intersport Deutschland eG and also headed its subsidiary Intersport Digital GmbH. Before that, he held various management positions in e-commerce at retailers Rewe and Lidl.
