Klingel Group appoints new Chief Marketing Officer

The Klingel Group has appointed Jan Honsel as Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, Honsel will support the stabilization and further digital transformation of the company from June, the Pforzheim-based mail order group announced on Friday.

Honsel has been with the Klingel Group since January and previously held the role of Senior Vice President Marketing Operations. He is also the managing director of the Berlin online marketing agency K – New Media, a subsidiary of the Klingel Group.

“We are very pleased to have won Jan Honsel, a proven expert in the analogue and digital media and marketing world, for our management. He is a valued colleague and already knows our company very well,” says Dr. Sven Axel Groos, CEO.

Originally, the former Intersport manager Carsten Schmitz was supposed to take over the role of CMO of the Klingel Group on May 1st and drive forward the “digital transformation” of the group of companies. Due to the reorganization process under self-administration initiated by the Klingel Group on May 10, internal appointments were preferred as a solution in the interest of both parties, according to the announcement.
