King’s Commissioner Jetta Klijnsma once again apologized in a letter to the members of the States for her comment about members of the Boerburger movement (BBB). She has also given more clarity about the background of her words.

Klijnsma got the anger of the BBB on her neck when she said on Saturday at the GroenLinks-Pvda party congress that the BBB in Drenthe has no driver’s experience, which yields ‘misery’. In a telephone conversation with the BBB leader Caroline van der Plas, she would have offered all her apologies. Van der Plas then announced that her party members are not in a safe working environment. She indicated that it hit her deeply.

In a letter to the members of the States, Klijnsma goes through the dust again. She calls her comment ‘inappropriate’. “I apologized for that the same afternoon,” said Klijnsma.

She also tells why she chose to make this comment. Klijnsma: “The background of my remark is that in recent years I have seen that it is sometimes a challenge for new representatives of quickly playing in the political process. LK Gun all people’s representatives support from the beginning and I like to help with that.”

Klijnsma hopes to be able to talk to the members of the BBB States.
