Kleinsorge back at SV Meppen – farewell to 1. FC Kaiserslautern

Farewell from Kaiserslautern

Shortly after starting in the 3rd division, SV Meppen once again strengthened the offensive. Winger Marius Kleinsorge, who has signed a contract until 2025, comes from second division promoted 1. FC Kaiserslautern to the Lower Saxony. For the 26-year-old it is a return to his old place of work. From 2016 to 2020 he appeared in 119 games for SVM, in which he recorded 31 goals and 18 assists. For no other club was he more often on the pitch.

“We are very excited about this move back to SVM. We never lost sight of each other and had many conversations. Marius always showed full commitment and identified great with SV Meppen. We hope that Marius can build on the strong performances that he showed before moving to Kaiserslautern and will thus strengthen us offensively, ”explained sporting director Heiner Beckmann. Kleinsorge, who is leaving FCK after 21 missions, added: “When I got the call that SVM was interested in me, I got goosebumps! I am incredibly happy to be back here and to be able to help the team. It has become my home!”
