Kleber wins German NBA duel with Schröder

Maximilian Kleber won the German duel with national team colleague Dennis Schröder in the North American professional basketball league NBA.

Kleber contributed six points, nine rebounds and two assists to his Dallas Mavericks’ 110-91 win over the Houston Rockets. Schröder had 11 points (one assist) for the Rockets.

Dallas is now on course for the playoffs in fifth place in the Western Conference with 45 wins and 28 losses. Schröder and Houston, bottom of the table in the West, have no chance of making it into the post-season.

Daniel Theis got his fifth win in a row with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics beat Utah Jazz 125-97 and are also on course for the playoffs with fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Theis contributed eleven points, three rebounds and one assist to Boston’s success.

The brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner, on the other hand, suffered a defeat with the Orlando Magic after two wins in a row.

Despite the 15 points from Franz Wagner and another 13 from Moritz Wagner, Orlando lost 102:118 at the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Magic, bottom of the table in the East, are already out of the playoff race.
