American football player KJ Osborn garners praise for his heroic deed.

The 25-year-old Minnesota Vikings forward’s Uber ride took a dramatic turn when he witnessed another car crash violently into a bridge railing.

After the car caught fire, Osborn and the Uber driver acted quickly. They rushed to the scene of the accident, saving the driver of the crashed car from the flames with two other heroes.

The heroic act was caught on camera. Osborn’s part in the rescue work was revealed later, when he published pictures and a press release about what happened.

– The saying goes “in the wrong place at the wrong time”, but this time I believe God has led me, us, to the right place at the right time. Last night me and three other true heroes saved a human life by rescuing him from a burning car after a bad accident. A situation I could never have imagined I would find myself in, Osborn writes.

Osborn recounted the situation later by Adam Schefter on the podcast.

– I looked to the right and saw the car under the bridge in flames. I thought it might explode at any moment, but my Uber driver immediately rushed to help open her door. We saw the driver was alive, but he couldn’t move. We pulled him out, then I carried him away from the burning car.
