contract expires
At second division Holstein Kiel, the upheaval in the squad is taking on ever greater proportions: With Mikkel Kirkeskov, the “Storks” confirmed on Wednesday the ninth departure after the contract expired in the summer. The 31-year-old left-back is currently part of coach Marcel Rapp’s team, and he has made 46 appearances with three assists for Kiel since January 2021.
“In the past two and a half seasons, we have gotten to know Mikkel Kirkeskov as an exemplary person and athlete who has always put himself at the service of the team and performed well,” said KSV Sport Managing Director Uwe Stöver. “We thank him very much for his commitment and wish him all the best for the future.”
Mikkel Kirkeskov is leaving: The 31-year-old Dane, whose contract expires after the end of the season, will leave our storks after two and a half years.
We wish you all the best for the future, Mikkel!
