Kira Toussaint from Assendelft has qualified for the final of the 50 meter backstroke at the European Swimming Championships in Rome. The final is scheduled for Sunday between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Swimmer Imani de Jong from Amsterdam just failed to qualify for the final in the 200-meter freestyle. Maaike de Waard took gold earlier in the day in the 50 meter butterfly. The Dutch relay swimmers were also successful today. They took bronze in the 4x100m freestyle.
Toussaint already took gold at European Championships
On Friday evening, the mixed team took gold in the 4×100 meter medley. That team consists of Kira Toussaint, Marrit Steenbergen, Arno Kamminga and Nyls Korstanje.
