King’s Day will be sunny, but will start fresh: ‘Temperatures around freezing’

Good news for everyone who goes out on Wednesday to celebrate King’s Day, because it will be dry and sunny in many places. One tip: if you go out early, put on a jacket. “We’re getting close to freezing.”

And with that, Wilfred Janssen of Weerplaza also immediately has a warning for King’s Night. “In the course of the night, the temperature already drops considerably.” So almost to zero. “We haven’t been used to that for a while, so dress properly.”

Yet that cold night is actually an advantage, explains Janssen. “It means that in the course of the morning we will get broad clearings with plenty of sun. Ultimately, temperatures will reach around 14 to 16 degrees.”

Great terrace weather
In the afternoon more clouds will slowly pass and there will be a strong wind. But that should not spoil the fun, according to Janssen. “The weather remains fine for the terrace.”
