The royal couple would have a economic working visit to the cities of San Francisco and Silicon Valley in California and the cities of Austin and Houston in Texas. The reason for the visit is to discuss transatlantic cooperation, climate change, energy transition and health care, according to the RVD. In addition to Queen Máxima, Minister Ernst Kuipers (Health, D66), Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf (Education, D66), State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen (Infrastructure, CDA) and Minister Ruisandro Cijntje of Economic Development of Curaçao will participate in the visit.
