King Willem-Alexander has called on women on International Women’s Day to use their own talents and not to take men as an example. On a state visit to Slovakia, he noted that men have made a mess in recent centuries. Queen Máxima also came with a heartfelt cry to Slovak women, especially to be very assertive in standing up for equal rights between men and women.
