King Charles was reduced to tears

The British Court has published a video on social media in which King Charles, who has cancer, reads get well soon letters sent by people. The royal family says in a video that it has received more than 7,000 letters and cards from different parts of the world.

The emotional video was released days after Charles met British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for the first time since starting cancer treatment. During the meeting, Charles said he received numerous heart-warming cards.

The king and the prime minister discussed, among other things, how much attention the situation has brought to, among other things, charities that support people with cancer and their loved ones.

– I have received so many messages and cards that you can’t even believe it. Most of them have brought me to tears, Charles described to Sunak.

The video published by Hov on Friday shows some of the letters and cards that Charles has received since his cancer diagnosis. The video profusely thanks everyone who wrote to the king. The king, delighted by the memories, seems to be visibly moved by the support he has received.

– As his majesty has said, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement, the video says.

The court announced on February 5 that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. The public has not been told in more detail which cancer it is.

Charles’ royal representative duties have been moved as needed. Some of the tasks have been transferred to his son William, Prince of Wales.

– His majesty will continue his state duties and responsibilities as head of state, as well as his official paperwork, the court told Reuters after the diagnosis.
