The arrival of Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh was welcomed yesterday by thousands of Scottish subjects, who witnessed the delivery of the keys to the city to the king, during the solemn Ceremony of the Keys. But the most important appointment awaits them tomorrow in St. Giles’ Cathedral: after a procession along the impressive Royal Mile leading to Edinburgh castle, Carlo will be given the Honors of Scotlandi.e. the local Crown Jewelssymbol of his accession to the throne also on Scottish soil.

The return of King Charles III on the yacht Britannia
He hadn’t climbed there for 25 years, but yesterday Carlo couldn’t help but be moved as he entered the Royal Yacht Britannia, so much loved by his mother Elizabeth. And while the Royal Family marked the occasion by posting a photo dated 1956 on social media, with a very young prince on the yacht with his little sister Anna and his parents Philip and Elizabeth, the sovereign took the opportunity to honor an ancient naval tradition, drinking a glass of rum with officers and sailors.

Everyone at Balmoral with Carlo and Camilla
Completed the events of Holyrood WeekCarlo and Camilla will start theirs holidays at Balmoral. According to rumors at court they would have preferred to avoid the castle and instead remain in their Scottish residence, nearby Birkhall, but they let themselves be convinced, at least for this year, by all the other Royals who, in the coming weeks, will cross the gates of royal residence based on one’s position in the line of succession.
