King and Princess Amalia celebrate 80 years of freedom and democracy: ‘A responsibility of all of us’

King Willem-Alexander and Princess Amalia celebrated on Thursday exactly eighty years ago that parliament met again for the first time after the Second World War. They met together with various politicians in the Grote Kerk in The Hague for the Special United Meeting of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
