Jimmy Kimmel commented on Donald Trump’s threats after the return of his late night show on Tuesday evening and referred to the president as the “80s film bully”.
“Threat by denying threats”
In the latest edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Kimmel line by line dismantled a contribution from Trump to Truth. In it, Trump had indicated that he was planning to sue ABC, and insulted the moderator as the “further arm” of the Democrats. “I cannot believe that ABC Fake News Jimmy Kimmel returned his job,” wrote Trump.
“You can’t believe that I got my job back? I can’t believe that we gave them their job,” replied Kimmel.
Trump continued: “Why should you get someone back that is so bad, not funny, and who puts the station in danger by bringing 99 % pro-democratic garbage?”
Kimmel countered: “There is the threat again. This time directly from the mouth of the FCC biscuit. He says: ‘I think we test from. Let’s see how things are going. Last time when I tackled it, they gave me $ 16 million. This time it sounds even more lucrative. A real bunch of losers!’ Only Donald Trump would try to prove that he does not threaten ABC by threatening ABC. “
Trump’s contribution ended with the words: “Let Jimmy Kimmel rotten in his bad odds.” Kimmel: “And he knows bad quotas. He has some of the worst values that a president ever had. Welcome to the club of the Liesen odds, Mr. President.”
“A bully in the style of the 80s”
Kimmel continued: “Next he will try to sue us. Good luck with it, because we packed the dishes and an ace in the sleeve: Mr. Judge Steve Harvey.”
The moderator also reacted to allegations that he went too hard with Trump. “I’m talking so much about Trump because he is a bully. I don’t like bullies. I played clarinet in the high school. Donald Trump is an old-fashioned 80s film bully that steals your break bread. And once you give it to him. He takes it back. Two things he loves. Lunch and money.”
He added: “For this bully, no matter which side you stand on, as for Biff from the future.
“A threat to freedom of expression”
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” returned to ABC on Tuesday evening after a one -week break. The broadcaster had previously suspended the show because of a “poorly timed and insensitive” monologue, in which Kimmel criticized right politicians who wanted to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk. While Kimmel was silent, Hollywood spoke loudly.
Yesterday, Kimmel criticized the trump government’s attempts to make him disappear from the scene: “I hardly paid attention to school at school, but I learned one thing from Lenny Bruce, George Carlin and Howard Stern: a state threat of making a comedian silence that the president does not like is anti-American.” He added: “Perhaps the silver strip story is here that we have found a thing in which we agree-right, left and in the middle, like Joe Rogan. Maybe we can even get a little closer together.”
Quota record for comeback
The return sequence broke records: 6.3 million viewers switched on-almost three times the usual quota-although a quarter of the ABC stations did not radiate the shipment. Another 19 million saw Kimmel’s emotional 28-minute comeback statement online-and the trend is rising.
