The German singer Kim Petras currently knows only one direction: steeply uphill! Because apparently the native of Cologne, who has lived in Los Angeles since 2011, is currently doing everything. After she stormed the charts in a duet with Sam Smith with the song “Unholy” and won the Grammy in the category Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the thirty-year-old’s eagerly awaited debut album will follow this summer.
The debut will be called FEED THE BEAST and will be available on June 23rd. The billion-stream Spotify duet, which made the singer the first trans person to receive the coveted music award, will of course feature on the album’s tracklist.

But before that there was another hit, with which Petras once again caused a sensation. The song “Alone”, which she recorded with US rapper Nicki Minaj, gives a first taste of FEED THE BEAST. And to really get the word out there, Petras also has the song and the follow-up single “King of Hearts” with him Season finale Germany’s Next Topmodel performs.
Approximately 1.7 million viewers saw the episode of the show with Heidi Klum. Kim Petras could already demonstrate her own model qualities on the current cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and the Pride special issue of Out Magazine.
In addition, she will perform at various festivals worldwide, including the Osheaga in Montreal, Canada and The Town in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
