Traffic on the A50 towards Gelderland must take into account a long traffic jam from Schaijk on Tuesday morning. An accident happened early in the morning at the Ewijk junction, after which the road was completely closed.
Two cars were involved in the accident at Ewijk, one of which ended up upside down.
Detour
The closure of the A50 around seven thirty in the morning led to a ten kilometer long traffic jam from the Paalgraven interchange, causing a delay of more than an hour.
Traffic was then advised to drive via Den Bosch and Tiel, on the A2 and A15.
Still traffic jam
The road has been open since a quarter past eight. Nevertheless, the traffic jam is only slowly decreasing. At a quarter to nine in the morning, there were still nine kilometers of traffic jams, accounting for more than forty minutes of delay.
