Kik launches loyalty program in Austria

The textile discounter Kik is now also introducing the “myKiK” advantage card in Austria.

The loyalty program is to offer Austrian customers “financial, service-oriented and emotional advantages” from now on, the textile discounter announced on Thursday. Previously, the “myKiK” advantage card celebrated its premiere in the Netherlands before being introduced in Germany in September.

As in Germany, the program with the associated free advantage card should offer customers in Austria advantages such as discounts of between 15 and 20 percent as well as a customer-oriented offer. The purchases made are saved in the associated app, which also makes it possible to return products without a receipt and to reserve products in the branch. There are also special offers, promotions and product suggestions tailored to the purchasing behavior of customers.

Successful start in Germany

According to the discounter, the program quickly established itself in Germany. After only about 180 days, the program has inspired more than 3.4 million people. In the meantime, every fifth Kik purchase in Germany would be made with the myKiK advantage card and a relevant part of the turnover is also generated by advantage card holders, according to the announcement.

“Following the great success of our loyalty program in Germany, Austria is the next logical step for us,” says Markus Kallen, Chief Customer Officer at KiK.
