The Kiel conquerors of HSG Wetzlar will face their next top-class opponent in the round of 16 of the DHB Cup.
The Bundesliga team has to play on the 12th/13th. December will play against Champions League winners SC Magdeburg. This was the result of the draw on Monday during the half-time break of the Bundesliga game between ThSV Eisenach and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen by national goalkeeper Dinah Eckerle.
Wetzlar caused a big surprise last week and knocked record winner THW Kiel out of the competition in the third round. The North Germans hadn’t failed so early in 22 years.
