The relegation-threatened English first division football team Leicester City has separated from team manager Brendan Rodgers.
The club announced this one day after the defeat at Crystal Palace (1: 2). Rodgers was in charge for four years and led the ex-champions to their only FA Cup triumph to date in 2021.
“The achievements of the team under Brendan’s leadership speak for themselves – we have experienced some of our finest football moments under his leadership and will always be grateful to him and his staff for the heights they have taken us to,” said chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.
Initially, Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell will be in charge. “The task ahead of us in our last ten games is clear. We need to come together now – fans, players and staff – and show the attitude, quality and fight to secure our position as a Premier League club.” said Srivaddhanaprabha.
