Kickboxer Jorina Baars takes ninth world title with force majeure

Jorina Baars has won the world title at Enfusion. The 33-year-old kickboxer from Den Helder convincingly defeated her opponent Sarah Worsfold in the Martinihal in Groningen. For Baars, the title is her ninth world title in her career.

In the first round, Baars dealt a rock hard knee to Worsfold, who then fell to the ground. Interestingly, it didn’t count as a knockdown. In the second round Baars was again doing well with strong punches and combinations. Worsfold turned out to have a lot of resilience, because after a knee against her head, she still stood. In almost all rounds Baars dominated by showing good kickboxing and she was the deserved winner.

With the title in his pocket, Baars will have to defend her title again soon. However, she is not yet sure if she wants to do that. With the world title Enfusion, Baars adds another prize to her palmares. In total, she is now the world champion in kickboxing for the ninth time.
