kick-out clause? Compensation for Frank Kramer revealed

A day after trainer Frank Kramer was kicked out at FC Schalke 04, more details about the background to the decision leaked out. The alleged financial volume of the separation is now known.

Frank Kramer is history, Matthias Kreutzer (at least) the new head coach for the trend-setting Bundesliga game at Hertha BSC on Sunday (5:30 p.m.): FC Schalke 04 have once again made a change in the coaching position after the disastrous start to the season.

The shockingly poor performance in the 1:5 swatter in the DFB Cup at 1899 Hoffenheim on Tuesday was the last straw.

After that, Kramer, who had already been counted, could no longer be stopped. In the end, the Knappen only played twelve games under his direction. The manageable record was two wins, three draws and seven defeats.

After all: Financially, the effects of the change of coach for Schalke are within limits. This is made possible by a clause anchored in Kramer’s contract, originally dated until 2024, which several media report unanimously.

FC Schalke 04: Kicking clause and severance pay for Frank Kramer?

According to “Bild” and “WAZ”, thanks to this advance planning, the severance payment for Kramer is “only” 450,000 euros.

On the other hand, if Schalke had had to pay the 50-year-old until the end of the contract in a year and a half, salaries of around 1.2 million euros would allegedly have been due.

This is a significant relief for the clammy district club – especially since Dimitrios Grammozis, an ex-coach, is still on the payroll until next summer.

Difficult coach search at FC Schalke 04

Meanwhile, the search for a successor for Kramer is proving to be complicated. The original plan by those responsible for S04 to play the Hertha game with a new head coach and without an interim solution on the sidelines has now fallen through.

The surprising top candidate for the post should be the Austrian Christian Ilzer from Sturm Graz. Both the coach himself and Graz sports director Andreas Schicker have now rejected the speculation.

Bruno Labbadia is said to have already rejected Schalke, Thomas Reis in Gelsenkirchen is currently no longer an issue.
