A huge downer for Khalid Kasem and Sophie Hilbrand: their talk show Khalid & Sophie is just as bad as the defunct talk show M. Is the end nigh for them too?
The ratings of Khalid & Sophie are going very badly. Where the talk show was in 21st place in the daily top 25 viewership on Tuesday, the program had to settle for 22nd place yesterday. Only 499 thousand people (13.5% market share) watched the broadcast on NPO 1.
From the tube?
Just like M, Khalid & Sophie caused a huge dip in the viewing figures in the programming of NPO 1. With 969 thousand viewers (32%) the previously broadcast EenVandaag is in seventh place in the same ranking and the Achtuurjournaal broadcast after that is even number one with a score of 1.8 million viewers (39%).
In other words: everyone zaps away when Khalid Kasem or Sophie Hilbrand appears. The tide must turn, according to The Telegraph† “If that doesn’t work, there is a good chance that Kasem and Hilbrand will complete the second season, but then – just like M, who also scored below par – will be taken off the tube.”
Lubach on one
The most watched talk shows of the evening were De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach (1.1 million), Op1 (793 thousand) and Today Inside (694 thousand). Jinek attracted 593 thousand viewers, Time for MAX scored 436 thousand viewers and HLF8 had 308 thousand.
The prime-time winners were NPO 1’s Het Verhaal van Nederland (1.5 million) and RTL 4’s De Erfgenaam (1.1 million), NPO 1’s Waar Doen Ze Het Van (897 thousand). This is followed by Today Inside, Nieuwsuur (566 thousand) and viewer scare Rooijakkers over de Floor (499 thousand).
Viewing figures
Programs that (also) did not reach the top fifteen viewing figures include Hart van Nederland (511 thousand), Lang Leve De Liefde (488 thousand), 112 Today (485 thousand), Reizen Waes (446 thousand) and Shownieuws (409 thousand). .
