Boss recently launched two capsule collections – in addition to a collaboration with TikTok star Khaby Lame, who is also a brand ambassador for Boss, the label of the Metzingen-based company Hugo Boss also released a capsule collection in honor of the musician Freddie Mercury.
The Freddie Mercury Capsule is part of the ‘Legend Series’, a five-part series of capsule collections honoring well-known figures from various industries. The series premiered in April with a capsule dedicated to boxer and activist Muhammad Ali.
Now comes the second part – the Freddie Mercury collection has been available in the Boss online shop since Tuesday. It includes eight different hoodies and t-shirts, each featuring a black and white print of the musician. The photo prints show Mercury performing on stage. Some of the pieces are printed with Mercury’s signature, but a specially created Boss logo fused with his handwriting also graces some of the pieces. In addition to black and white, there are also a few pieces in yellow – a nod to a jacket of the same color Mercury wore on a 1986 tour. The collection has been available in Boss stores and in the Boss online shop since Thursday.
Boss continues to rely on Khaby Lame
As part of an extensive collaboration with Khaby Lame, which includes the Brand rebranding started, the label has now also released a capsule collection with the TikTok star. The capsule consists of three parts – a hoodie, a t-shirt and a varsity jacket – all of which are finished in black with leather details. In addition to the three pieces, Boss created a mini lame doll with the social media star to attach to the hoodie as an accessory.
The collection was launched on June 17 at the start of Milan Fashion Week. A group of BMX riders rode around town in the collection’s pieces on the day before rolling in with Lame for a meet and greet at the Boss store in San Babila. The collection is available in the Boss online shop.
Lame is currently the person with the highest number of followers on the social media platform TikTok worldwide. He became known for a series of short videos in which he comments on complicated ‘life hacks’ with characteristic facial expressions and gestures.
