Kevin Behrens threatens pyro trouble from the DFB

When it comes to pyrotechnics, the DFB knows no fun.

Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai (22) has just been asked to pay a lot by the association and had to pay a fine of 30,000 euros. After winning the DFB Cup final (2-0 against Frankfurt) on June 3, the Hungarian celebrated with a lit pyro torch in front of the Leipzig fan curve in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.

Now also threatened Kevin Behrens (32), striker at Union Berlin, trouble. According to BZ information, the DFB control committee is investigating a similar pyro process and has asked the Köpenicker professional to comment.

Pyroflare in outstretched hand

What happened? On May 27, Behrens held a pyro torch in his outstretched hand at the fan party after the Bremen home game (final score 1-0 for the Irons) on the stadium balcony. More than an hour after the final whistle, the entire team celebrated their entry into the Champions League with the supporters.

It remained peaceful, there were no injuries. But the DFB does not like to see such pictures. Difference between Behrens and Szoboszlai: The RB midfielder ignited inside the stadium, Behrens on the balcony Old forester’s lodge toward the parking lot. Nevertheless, he faces a fine!

Incidentally, Szoboszlai is said to have received a fine internally because RB is a strict opponent of pyrotechnics. Those responsible have repeatedly publicly opposed it. That certainly does not threaten Behrens at Union …
