Kendrick Lamar has another record in his pocket: With his tour “The Big Steppers”, the 35-year-old is the rapper with the highest-grossing tour in music history. The reported “Touring Data” on Twitter. Lamar sold 929,000 tickets for 73 performances, grossing $110.9 million.
He has overtaken Drake, who previously topped the list with the Aubrey & the Three Migos shows. Drake is also third, closely followed by Kanye West and Jay-Z.
The musician from Compton appears in the ranking for a second time: With the “DAMN” tour, Kendrick Lamar also ranks fifth. Travis Scott is number six on the list.
In Germany, the “The Big Steppers” tour will stop at the “splash!” festival on June 29, 2023 and at the “Rolling Loud” on July 8, 2023.
Lamar’s album MR. MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS was released on May 13, 2o22. Fans had to wait a full five years for the record after Kendrick Lamar released his previous work with DAMN in April 2017. The expectations were correspondingly high – both from critics and from the general public. At least the disc was able to convince us at the Musikexpress: In May 2022 it became record of the month and received full marks.
