Artist Kelly Clarkson41, and her ex-husband and manager by Brandon Blackstock46, the legal battle has turned into a victory for the singer.

People-magazine, the jury found the man guilty of abusing his role as manager when he had illegally obtained contracts that should have been handled by a talent broker. The court found that Blackstock improperly handled several of Clarkson’s transactions while acting as his manager.

The court has ordered Blackstock to pay his ex-wife approximately 2.6 million dollars, i.e. more than 2.4 million euros. According to court documents, the sum in question consists of fees paid to Blockstock in connection with Clarkson’s gigs and TV contracts. Blackstock’s lawyer has filed an appeal against the verdict.

The couple broke up contentiously in the summer of 2020 after about seven years of marriage. A year later, the court ordered Clarkson to pay her ex-husband nearly $200,000 a month in child support. As a result of the settlement, the amount in question dropped by approximately $85,000.

The two have also argued about, among other things, how their property will be divided in the event of a divorce. The problem was solved in the fall of 2022, when the settlement gave Blackstock a slice of their former home worth about five percent. However, he had to move out of the apartment the very next summer. Until then, he had to pay $12,500 in rent for his accommodation.

The former couple have two children together: River Rose9, and Remington “Remy” Alexander7.
