Officially
SV Sandhausen and the eliminated striker Daniel Keita-Ruel finally go their separate ways. According to a club announcement on Thursday, the contract, which ran until the end of the season, was terminated by mutual consent.
The fact that the 32-year-old had no future at Hardtwald became clear when the sporting director of the SVS, Mikayil Kabaca, announced that Keita-Ruel had been released from training. Kabaca was quoted by the “Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung” as saying that the “different sporting views” are the reason. They sat down at a table and the club didn’t want to “put any obstacles in the player’s way, especially since his contract expires at the end of the season”.
Keita-Ruel had only had one short joker appearance for the Kurpfälzer since October. Since his free transfer from Fürth to SVS in the summer of 2020, he has scored 13 goals (4 assists) in 44 competitive games, and in the previous season he was the second-best scorer in coach Alois Schwartz’s team with twelve goals.
the #SVS and Daniel Keita-Ruel have terminated the existing contract with immediate effect.
All the best for the future, Keita!
