“I’m looking forward to it, I love this time with the many games, the games at Signal Iduna Park in front of a sold-out crowd, the travel,” said the former national player in an interview with the “Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung”.
In the home game against Werder Bremen, the Black and Yellows have the goal of avenging the extremely bitter 2-3 home defeat from the previous year: “Last season we gave up a lead late on and lost in stoppage time. “On Friday we can now steer a lot of things in the right direction,” said Kehl.
After the first seven Bundesliga matchdays, BVB is currently in fourth place in the table. Although the Westphalians’ performance was too sluggish and error-prone, especially at the start of the season, head coach Edin Terzic’s team is doing very well with 17 points from seven games and not a single defeat.
Kehl is clear: “BVB always wants to play for the title”
In his interim conclusion, BVB sports director Kehl also emphasized the positive aspects of the season so far: “We didn’t play stars from heaven in the first few weeks, but we still held ourselves together, showed mentality, turned games around and improved in all areas .
