Kehl and Terzic respond to Emre Can’s criticism of Jude Bellingham

Disagreements within the team at Borussia Dortmund? BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl and coach Edin Terzic have commented on Emre Can’s criticism of Jude Bellingham after the defeat at Bayern.

“Two boys once exchanged opinions, for both of them it’s no longer an issue,” Terzic said on the “ZDF” microphone before the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup at RB Leipzig.

Can had Bellingham after his poor performance (sport.de-Grade 5.0) in BVB’s 4-2 defeat in the top game in Munich.

“Jude is still young. He still has a lot to learn. On the pitch, here in front of 70,000 or 80,000 spectators, there are things you just can’t do,” said the German international on “ESPN”.

“You need good body language when a teammate makes a mistake. That’s what we need to learn as a team,” added Can.

BVB: Jude Bellingham against RB Leipzig only on the bench

In the cup cracker against RB, Bellingham first had to sit on the bench. According to Terzic, that had nothing to do with his performance against FC Bayern or Can’s verbal attack.

“Jude has been playing a lot lately. The next English week starts today. He didn’t dare play another 90 or 120 minutes. But we’re happy that we can get him off the bench,” said the BVB coach.

Sports director Kehl also didn’t want the Can-Bellingham cause to be too high, but didn’t allow criticism of the attitude of the 19-year-old Englishman. “A little friction is not bad, but the right classification is important,” said the longtime BVB captain to “Sky”.

In the interview, Can also criticized Dortmund’s overall structure in the Allianz Arena. “We had a plan. When we were 2-0 down, we didn’t stick to our plan. We pressed with one man. That’s just not enough,” said the 29-year-old.
