In order to support those affected by the devastating earthquakes in southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6th and 7th as best as possible, Summer Cem and the moderator Nazan Eckes started a fundraising campaign on February 7th. Other German rappers shared their call, including KC Rebell. Together with Summer Cem, he has now organized a benefit concert in Berlin to collect more money for the campaign. It is scheduled to take place on February 16 in the Columbiahalle under the title “All Together”.
In addition to the two organizers, other big names are also taking part. Confirmed so far are Kool Savas, Celo and Abdi, Ufo361, Samra, Veysel and AK Out of Control. They have also announced that other artists want to participate. Nazan Eckes will moderate the event. A live stream should also be available via the YouTube channels of the artists involved. Tickets should cost 25 euros and each purchase should offer the opportunity to donate any additional amount directly.
A total of over 230,000 euros have been collected so far. Nazan Eckes has announced that he wants to make the distribution of this money as transparent as possible. In addition to large and small partners who are organized locally, part of the donations also goes to the Johanniter. The German Foundation Culture Foundation collects and manages the money.
Die Toten Hosen have also announced a benefit concert in Düsseldorf for February 24, together with the Donots and Thees Uhlmann.
