The government of Kazakhstan introduced state regulation of fuel prices for 180 days
The Kazakh authorities have set price caps for motor fuel. It was with the protest against the rise in gas prices for cars in the country that the riots began

In Kazakhstan, state regulation of prices for gasoline, diesel fuel and automobile gas was introduced for 180 days, transfers Tengrinews.kz citing a government message.
The maximum prices for automobile gas are set:
- in Aktobe, Atyrau and Mangistau regions – 50 – 55 tenge (about 8 – 9 rubles) per liter;
- in Shymkent, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions – 60 – 65 tenge (about 10 – 11 rubles) per liter.
- in Almaty – 65 tenge (about 11 rubles) per liter.
- in Nur-Sultan – 70 tenge (about 12 rubles) per liter.
Gasoline prices are also temporarily limited:
- AI-80 – 89 tenge (15 rubles) per liter;
- AI-92 and AI-93 – 182 tenge (31 rubles) per liter;
- AI-95 – 215 tenge (36 rubles) per liter.
