Kayserispor football player Mame Thiam donated his signed jerseys for earthquake victims

Thiam, who also played in the Senegal National Team, came to the Turkish Embassy in Dakar and signed the condolence book opened in memory of those who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

Expressing his condolences to Nur Sağman, who was appointed as the Turkish Embassy in Dakar, Thiam received information about the aid campaign carried out for the benefit of those affected by the earthquake.

Thiam signed 2 jerseys, which he wore in both Kayserispor and his former club Fenerbahçe, and delivered them to Sağman.

Sağman also thanked Thiam for his solidarity with Turkey, which was going through difficult times, and said, “When Senegal is mentioned in Turkey, football comes to mind first. You Senegalese players are your country’s ambassadors. Your gesture is very valuable to us.” said.

Thiam said, “Senegal has always established good relations with Turkey. We are always with Turkey. I am very happy to show solidarity with you here.” he said.

The jerseys donated by Mame Thiam will be put up for auction at the solidarity night with Turkey to be held at the Turkish Embassy in Dakar in cooperation with Dakar Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, and the proceeds will be sent to earthquake victims.
