The German denim specialist Mustang has appointed Katharina Jerichow (45) as the new design director and transferred the creative direction of the Womenswear. She follows Cornelia fruit, which is dedicated to new professional challenges. In her new function, Jerichow reports directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) Daniel Peterburs.
The trained fashion designer looks at many years of experience in the fashion industry. Among other things, she held the creative management of S.Oliver – including in Hong Kong. Your career includes stations in the areas of design, collection structure, fit development, merchandising and quality sourcing.
Your creative focus at Mustang should be on Denim. In addition to the further development of passports, fabric qualities and prices, denim blouses, jackets, dresses and skirts should also play a stronger role in the Womenswear.
With the commitment of Katharina Jerichow, Mustang wants to set a clear sign of the further development of the collection and the development of new market potential. The aim is to advance the modernization of the brand and collection that has already been initiated and further open up the potential within the Mustang target group.
“With Katharina we won an experienced denim expert who knows the market very well, actively shaped change processes and shares our vision,” says Daniel Peterburs, CPO from Mustang. “She convinces professionally at the highest level, thinks very target group -oriented and as a team player brings fresh impulses to our design team.”
The first complete collection under your leadership will be presented for the 2026 season. The first visible adjustments are already planned for FS 2026.
