TOEven princesses have their battles. It should be said, although with a very painful and tragic war underway there is very little to joke about. Kate Middleton showed up in camouflage (for the first time) on a visit to the 1st battalion of the Irish Guards on snowy Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.
The princess has the rank of colonel, the rank was conferred on her last December. He took part in an exercise that involved providing technical support to battlefield casualties to assist wounded soldiers. It was his first time.
Kate Middleton, glam even in camouflage
During the exercise, one of the soldiers was injured in the leg. The princess, faithful to her duty, helped him along with a corporal. She applied a tourniquet to his lower left leg and then with the other soldiers she gave him first aid.
A la guerre as a la guerre
The camouflage “uniform” was composed of a camouflage jacket with large pockets, a wool capturtleneck sweater, skinny pants, woolen socks, all army green and £155 Berghaus Supalite boots.
It must have been strange for the Middleton to become a “soldier” on International Women’s Day. “It is especially fitting on International Women’s Day that some of our female soldiers met such an inspiring female role model. It is a real honor for all the Guardsmen to meet their Royal Colonel in the field here on Salisbury Plain and showcase some of our operational capabilities,” it said.
But the “battle” of the princess of Wales is the fratricidal internecine war between husband William and brother Harry. The fresh news is the baptism that took place, in great secrecy, of little Lilibet in Montecito without the royal family.
