kate Middleton is the godmother of Wimbledon. The tennis tournament, as it is known, is among the most famous sporting events in the world and the most loved by the British. The princess made her appearance on the second day of matches at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Her royal look? A white and mint green two-tone pastel outfit inspired by Lady Diana.

Middleton broke protocol by hugging tennis champion Roger Federer, sitting in the stands after retiring to private life. As is well known, Federer gives “private” lessons to George, the eldest son of the Welsh princes, as they have recounted several times.

Kate Middleton’s royal look at Wimbledon

The Princess of Wales went glamorous with a mint green and white look. The jacket is signed Balmain. It is a double-breasted model with contrasting buttons and lapels in white.

The royal paired with an ankle-length white pleated skirt, a pair of total white pumps by Gianvito Rossi and a Mulberry handbag.

Tribute to Lady D

The look is reminiscent of an iconic one, signed Catherine Walker, worn by Lady Diana at Trooping the Color in 1988on the occasion of which he wore a green and white suit jacket.

A tribute to the legendary princess of Wales and never known mother-in-law?

Finally, as jewels Kate Middleton chose 72 pounds sterling Shyla baroque pearl earrings and a rigid gold and white pearl bracelet by Sezane.
