Finally, at 63 years and 11 months, Kate Bush is the oldest woman to top the charts. Before that, Cher was the record holder. She was 52 when she had her number 1 hit in 1998 with “Believe” from the album of the same name.

On her website, the Brit thanked the fans who took the song to the top of the charts. “I am overwhelmed by the love and support the song is receiving,” she wrote. The singer ended the post by saying, “I have to admit that I was very moved by all of this.”
