The Olympic champion of the 400-meter hurdles, who suffered from health problems last season Karsten Warholm27, made an iron comeback on Thursday in the Oslo Diamond League.
The Norwegian wonder man accelerated the world’s top result to 46.52.
– The hunger to win still pushes me forward. I’m ready to do the work it takes to win, Warholm said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Warhol’s ME is 45.94 from the Tokyo Olympics. Last season, the man’s best result was 47.12 at the golden European Championships in Munich.
– I may already be a legend, but I don’t think a statue will be erected for me yet – I have to make much better achievements in the future.
In addition to the Olympic gold and last season’s European Championship gold, Warholm’s trophy cabinet includes world championships from 2017 and 2019 and European Championship gold in 2018.
On Thursday, Oslo’s Bislett stadium gave a standing ovation to its golden staff. The event is sold out, as there are 15,000 people in the stands.
