The league’s internal player transfer deadline expires on January 31. Previously, the deadline was only February 15.

The league board made the change strangely in complete silence.

– This is a bit of a new situation. If you think about big moves that clubs have made before, they need to be made earlier now. A couple of weeks earlier, says Kärppie’s sports director Mikko Myllykoski.

– Yes, we are thinking and monitoring the situation, Myllykoski admits.

Kärppäbomo doesn’t want to specify in more detail which playing positions the pride of the north is watching the players for.

– Of course, you can come to us from abroad until February 15. And you can also go abroad with us until then.

Myllykoski doesn’t sound like a big fan of two different transfer limits.

– There are probably pros and cons to this matter. But I don’t know if this will ultimately have a bigger impact on anything.
