Karmine Corp has once again won the European League of Legends tournament EMEA Masters. In front of their home crowd, the record champions almost made a comeback against Movistar Riders.
“My last year was bad. I doubted myself,” said jungler Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki, who only returned to KCorp in the summer, in an interview after the game. “I’m grateful to have so much trust again.”
KCorp, the organization of streamer Kamel “Kameto” Kebir, missed the EMEA Masters in the spring. In the summer, the team came into the tournament as champions of the strong French league.
In the packed arena in Montpellier, KCorp had the crowd behind them and received loud support. After the home team dominated the first two games, there were signs of a quick series. But Movistar fought back and leveled the series at 2-2.
In the deciding game, however, KCorp held its nerve and got off to a good start just over the finish line. It is the organization’s fourth triumph at the EMEA Masters; other teams have not achieved multiple wins.
