Karlsson’s penalty kicks are decisive for AZ in the top match against Feyenoord

Two silver-plated penalties from Jesper Karlsson helped AZ to win against Feyenoord. After the break, Lutsharel Geertruida made it exciting for a while with a connecting goal, but the Alkmaarders remained intact: 2-1. Arne Slot therefore returned from Alkmaar empty-handed.

AZ’s supremacy before halftime disappeared like snow in the sun in the second half. Within five minutes Feyenoord scored the connecting goal via Lutsharel Geertruida with a fumble goal. Immediately after the kick-off, the Alkmaarders became dangerous through Vangelis Pavlidis, but Justin Bijlow saved his bet.

After this, the team from Rotterdam became dangerous through headers from Guus Til and Gernot Trauner, but Vindahl kept AZ going.
