Clothing brand Karl Lagerfeld and US eyewear manufacturer Marchon Eyewear Inc. remain loyal to each other. Last week both companies announced the “multi-year extension of their global eyewear license agreement”. Marchon has been producing and marketing the Karl Lagerfeld brand eyewear collections since 2013.
“Karl has made eyewear a key part of his iconic look,” said Pier Paolo Righi, Karl Lagerfeld’s CEO and President, on the occasion of the contract renewal. “Marchon has been helping us translate his very own legendary attributes into distinctive eyewear for many years. We are very pleased to expand this great partnership and to continue it in the future.
Thomas Burkhardt, Senior Vice President, Global Brands, Marketing & Design, at Marchon Eyewear, also paid tribute to the partnership: Karl Lagerfeld is “a key brand in our global fashion portfolio,” he emphasized in a statement. The glasses manufacturer, which belongs to the US group VSP Vision and also has its own international sales network, also holds eyewear licenses from well-known labels such as Calvin Klein, Columbia, Converse, DKNY, Donna Karan, Lacoste, Lanvin, MCM, Nautica, Nike and Salvatore Ferragamo and Victoria Beckham.
