Karine (49) can speak again after years due to a successful larynx transplant: “Strange to talk again”

Due to some complications during intubation after cardiac arrest, Karine (49) had been breathing through a tracheostomy for about twenty years, without being able to speak. In September, the woman underwent a larynx transplant, allowing her to speak again after all these years. “It feels strange to talk again,” she responded to the French channel BMFTV.
