Kari Jalonen’s calmness raised questions.

Head coach of the Czech Republic Kari Jalonen was a disappointed but calm man in the interview arena in the Nokia arena on Tuesday. The Czech Republic lost to Austria in the opening round of the World Cup 1-2.

Initially, Austria was not even supposed to be involved in the Games, but rose to the World Cup with France when the International Hockey Federation ruled out Russia and Belarus.

The Czech Republic, on the other hand, is a saturated success favorite for NHL men.

– There have been problems with the first batch. I’m not happy with how we get inside the game. It somehow starts off slowly. We’ve had the same thing a bit in every match. From the second round we play better, but we should be able to play 60 minutes at the top level, Jalonen told Iltalehti after the match.

Jalonen calculated that the good finishers went to the Czech Republic 14–3.

– They had three super places, one of which became a goal. If it loses the game, then nothing can.

Prior to the interview with Iltalehti, “Kojo” gave answers to Czech newspapers.

Among the pencil workers in Central Europe, Jönenen was interested in, among other things, whether the players were trying hard enough. Jalonen did not sign the lack of company.

The Finn was also asked why the Czech performances have gone worse since the Swedish EHT tournament. The team entered the World Cup with a five-match winning streak.

– The Swedish EHT tournament is the Swedish EHT tournament. These are the World Cup. The level is much higher. There are completely different teams here. We are disappointed and we have to live with this result.

– You said earlier that you do not want to raise your voice, a Czech journalist began his question.

– Would it be time to lift now …

– No, Jalonen replied before the reporter had time to say the end of the sentence.

– I’m not going to do that. I don’t think I need to. I don’t believe in shouting. I want to coach in a completely different way.

The Czech reporters clearly wanted to know if the players were taking the World Cup with the appropriate seriousness.

– Are the players angry? Do you see the feelings? Jalos was asked.

– They’re really disappointed. Everyone is disappointed, the Finn replied.

The Czech Republic has four points out of three matches. In the UK, it won 5-1. Sweden was better in numbers 5–3.
