Kari Jalonen growled: the judges admitted the mistake

Radim Simek from the Czech Republic walked through the interview area straight to the booth.

Matej Blümel rose to the Czech decisive when he scored the only goal of the U.S. encounter. The Czech Republic cleared the Yankees, and on Tuesday will fight at least for the second place in the block against Finland.

Goal scorer Blümel suffered hard against Norway on Saturday. He was tackled in the head in the match.

It shook again on Monday, but now the target was an NHL defender Radim Simek. In the situation seen at the beginning of the third tranche, the US Kieffer Bellows rolled Simek into the ice.

The referees did not see the game situation, but it was checked on video. Bellows sat down for a five-minute cool elbow stroke. After the match, the head coach of the Czech Republic Kari Jalonen revealed that his team experienced injustice in a similar situation in the match in Norway.

– Blümel was then pulled with a clear head tackle. There is a rule that if a player is injured, the referees can watch the situation on video. Really, they didn’t go to see, even if there was a chance!

– After the game in Norway, I had a hard discussion with the judges about it. The next day, they admitted an error. They said it could have been checked.

Against the United States, Jalonen immediately learned from the video coach sitting in the auditorium that Bellows was banging Simek on the head. He immediately conveyed the message to the captain Roman Cervenkawhich asked the judges to watch the video.

– Now the judges made the right decision. Judgments must be obtained correctly because they can resolve the match.

After the match, Simek walked through the interview area directly into the locker room and did not want to talk.

Kari Jalonen is looking forward to meeting Finland. The stakes are high. Jussi Saarinen

– I don’t know what he’s doing. He only tried a couple of shifts after the tackle. I hope it’s not bad, Jalonen thought.

“I guess it couldn’t be better”

– Many have asked how it feels to face Finland. Well, it feels great, Jalonen started before the reporters had time to open their mouths.

– In Finland, home competitions, against the Lions, as the coach of the foreign team itself, full hall – I don’t think there can be a better moment.

According to Jalonen, the Czech Republic played by far the best 60 minutes on Monday.

Distant are the memories of solo and phlegmatic Czechs.

– The team has grown together in an incredible way. Monday was Fighters ’Day. Everyone is playing for their country. Our goalkeeper Karel Vejmelka has gained tremendous self-confidence.

However, the Finnish pilot did not speculate on the final investments in the block.

– The goal is to be better than Finland. Your own work needs to be done properly then.

One superiority

The Czech Republic has a clear template for superiority: the number one fist plays as much as it can handle.

Against the United States David Pastrnakin and David Krejcin the starred five contracted the majority of the minutes of superiority. No goals were scored, but that doesn’t worry Jalo.

– They have done at least one in previous matches with force. We have agreed to give them responsibility.
