In the first round of the play-off match of the last 16 rounds of the UEFA Champions League, Karabağ hosted Newcastle United at its home. Our representative lost the match 6-1 and your chances of qualifying were left to miracles. The guest team closed the first half ahead 5-0. Although Karabağ reduced the difference to 4 in the 2nd half, Newcastle scored a goal at the 72nd minute and the score was 6-1.
