Limburg sounds the alarm: raccoons threaten to develop into a ‘serious pest’

A quick and stronger approach is needed to prevent raccoons from spreading from Limburg to the rest of the country. Otherwise, the Netherlands runs the risk of a “serious plague”, says the provincial government of Limburg. According to the province, the raccoon can still be eradicated if more efforts are made on hunting and cooperation with neighboring countries Belgium and Germany.
