Rapper Ye, better known as Kanye West, is planning a trip to and performances in Moscow. He also wants to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was confirmed by one of his advisers to the magazine “Billboard”: “He will spend a lot of time in Russia”.
According to the information, Ye would like to perform one of his Sunday gospel shows in Moscow. His advisor Ameer Sudan said he would not be stopped either by corona travel restrictions or by political tensions between the USA and Russia.
In addition to a visit to Putin, the US rapper has other plans: He is said to want to do new business with the Armenian-Russian businessman Aras Agalarov and his son Emin, also a musician. Agalarov is said to have ties to former President Donald Trump.
However, Ye would not want to oppose the US or get involved in conflicts. On the contrary: He knows more than the average person about what is going on and is very aware of things. “But Ye is Ye – he cannot be controlled” – at least that is what Sudan says.
Musically, Ye last appeared in August 2021 with his album DONDA. Previously, his divorce from Kim Kardashian after seven years of marriage and his unsuccessful presidential candidacy made headlines. A few days ago, West launched a new video for the track “Heaven And Hell” as a promotion for his hoodie collection. The documentary “Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy” is scheduled to stream on Netflix in January.
