His looks are legendary, his sneaker brand “Yeezy” is extremely successful. Kanye West (45) is a fashion icon. But now the famous fashion rental company “David Casavant Archive” (Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Pharrell are also customers) is suing the musician.
Kanye West (currently calling himself “Ye”) is said to have borrowed a bunch of clothes but just didn’t return 13 items. Value in dispute: more than 400,000 euros.
According to the lawsuit, seen by US magazine TMZ, Kanye has failed to pay rental fees for 13 “rare, prized items” since 2020, nor has he returned them to the archive. The pieces the rapper doesn’t want to part with: hoodies, capes, cargo pants and a €49,000 parka – designer pieces by Helmut Lang, Raf Simons and Ann Demeulemeester.
According to the David Casavant Archive, Kanye West has not paid more than 217,000 euros in rental fees and another 192,000 euros in replacement fees for the 13 items. The money is now to be claimed. With an estimated fortune of around 2 billion euros, this is not really a problem for Ye…
