Kanye West drops track about his anti-Semitism

Kanye West released a new song on Wednesday (December 7th) in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. In it, West not only raps about his divorce from Kim Kardashian, but also repeats some of his anti-Semitic statements of the past few weeks. Despite the deletion, the song can be found on platforms such as YouTube.

“Someday we’ll be free” is the name of the song after Donny Hathaway’s song of the same name from 1973, which Kanye West samples on his current track. In addition, the song is also called “Censori overload” because Kanye West is said to have written these words in the post description. “Censorship overload. The antigen’s variable epitope library promotes an immune response in the body.”

He begins the song with the words: “Wake up to “I can’t do it anymore” lyrics”, a reference to his divorce. “The meek will prosper / So where is my ram?” he continues. Then putting himself in a victim position as he feels everyone is overreacting and he didn’t get a fair chance: “Everyone’s a Karen / They claim they care / Wasn’t treated fairly.” A few lines later he then says ” I have forgotten what fear is / except the fear of Almighty Yeshua”, referring again to Judaism, because Yeshua (also Yahshua and Yahshuah) is the Hebrew name for Jesus.

Towards the end he then references his “death con 3” tweet where he says “tweeted deathcon / now we’re past three”. By this he means the military designation “defcon”, which goes from level 1 to 5 and refers to military readiness. It counts down from 5 to 1. So “past three” means either level 2, which signals a precursor to nuclear war, or level 4, which is considered a sign of peace but still means increased alertness. He then cuts in a passage from his interview with Alex Jones in which West made his love for Hitler clear, but deliberately omits Hitler’s name. “Can we say you love the uniforms and that’s it?” asks Alex Jones, to which Kanye West replies, “No, there are a lot of things I love about Hitler.” In his new song, West’s statement is edited and he only says: “There are a lot of things I love”.

Most recently, in an interview with Gavin McInnes, the founder of the neo-fascist movement Proud Boys, West said that the Jews were to blame for Hitler’s bad reputation and that Jews should work for Christians.

West says he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2017. Kiss singer Paul Stanley said a few weeks ago that mental illness is an illness, but it should never diminish the dangers of hate speech, anti-Semitism or violence against religion or ethnic groups.
